Bequests

One of the most popular forms of legacy giving is a charitable bequest. This can be a transfer of cash, securities, or other property to Yaldei through your last will and testament or living trust.

After taking care of your family's needs, please consider setting up a bequest for Yaldei. It is a great way to ensure that we can continue the life-changing work we do in the years to come.

There are significant tax benefits to this form of giving, since one hundred per cent of your bequest is credited as a charitable donation in the year of death.

There are 3 types of bequests:

Specific: In this type of bequest, you would leave Yaldei a specific amount of money, property, or a specific percentage of your estate.

Residual: In residual bequest, you would leave Yaldei all or a portion of the remainder of your estate after all other bequests and estate obligations (debts, expenses and taxes) have been met.  

Contingent: This type of bequest is only fulfilled if certain conditions are met. For example, you can name Yaldei as the contingent beneficiary to receive assets in the unlikely case that your named individual beneficiaries do not survive you.
